Jax Jones follows up from the success of Instruction and You Don’t Know Me by hooking up with Norwegian hit maker Ina Wroldsen on Breathe.
As instantly-addictive as his previous discography, Jax says “I’m so gassed to release Breathe. Working with the likes of Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don has been such a dream come true for me and now, working with Ina fulfils another one. Not only is she an incredible vocalist but she’s one of the best & most successful songwriters in the game today. When we were in the studio together, I couldn’t imagine anyone else in the world who could deliver the emotion her voice adds to the track. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”

Top-dog producer Sir Spyro has added Plan B to his ever-growing roster of beats, as he throws everything toward a new remix of Heartbeat, the lead single from Plan B’s upcoming project Heaven Before All Hell Breaks Loose. From downtempo grime to jazz undertones, this one’s massively special, and huge props to Spyro for adding an extra element of depth onto the already-excellent joint.

Featuring three original songs, alongside a fresh remix courtesy of Paul Woolford, the multi-tracker seeks to showcase the London-based duo’s darker side, and comes alongside the announcement of next year’s huge Kingdom UK and European tour (which will conclude with a live show at Brixton Academy on 31st March).

Ed Sheeran has enlisted Beyonce on a new version of Perfect, the latest single from his third studio album, Divide.
Announced moments ago, the song will be released at midnight tonight (Thursday 30th November), and comes just over a fortnight since Beyonce’s surprise appearance on Eminem’s recent Walk On Water.

Jay Z rarely gives interviews, but when he does, you know he’ll often deliver the odd nugget of enlightenment at some point during the chat. However in his most-recent interview with the NY Times, Jigga’s laid long-standing rumours of a collaborative album with Beyonce to rest.
Speaking of the project (and also confirming its intentions at the same time), Jay said “We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together.” He then adds “And then the music she was making at that time [Beyonce’s surprise album LEMONADE] was further along. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, ‘I’m making this album.’ I was right there the entire time.“.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Brooklyn rapper also seems to allude of a hatchet-burial with Kanye West. “I [talked to] Kanye the other day, just to tell him, like, he’s my brother. I love Kanye. I do. It’s a complicated relationship with us,… [W]e’re both entertainers. It’s always been like a little underlying competition with your big brother.”

Porter Robinson kicked off 2017 in a big way, teaming up with Madeon for their immersive global tour. However with the shows now a distant memory, time alone has led the young electronic producer to move to pastures new, and as such, has announced his new Virtual Self side-project.
Essentially a new alias which allows Robinson more time to experiment with his frantic beats, Virtual Self’s focus seems a logical next step, hearing the producer deliver ‘happy hardcore’ esque synths enthused with elements of breakbeat all the way to techno and house, and all present sonics you’ll hear in the just-released self-titled EP. Whilst heavily-recognisable as ‘Porter Robinson sounds’, Virtual Self takes things up a few notches, to a place where we rarely thought electronica could go to.
