Iris Gold has returned with the massively-excellent All I Really Know.
Bringing you into her world of ’hippie hop’ (cited as her ‘colourful and infectious amalgamation of retro hip-hop, soul and power pop with a generous sprinkle of flower power’), the track comes against a groovy, uplifting backdrop and one that’ll definitely immerse you even within the first 20 seconds.
Describing the song, Iris says “When you have been dealing with adversity throughout your life, it will either kill you, or make you blossom into a positive person, and I decided very early on in life that I would always be positive, energetic, and a go-getter. “All I Really Know” is my Rocky Balboa/Apollo Creed track. It’s a song about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and trying again, after failing, no matter how many attempts it takes.”

Young 16-year old French producer Petit Biscuit has announced a full remix package of his recent hit Waterfall, lifted off his new record, Presence.
Reworked by the cream of the underground scene, the first edit comes courtesy of UK artist Kalyde who delivers a driven, synth laden cut layered with intricate percussion and neat drum fills. Karma Kid & Fono, a collaboration that has bore riches in the past, team up once again for an all encompassing groove filled cut, working Panama’s hypnotic vocals around a rich production, before Ferdinand Webber uplifting, sun-drenched remix!

After recently receiving an ARIA Award for ‘single of the year’, Pekin Duk have shared two special remixes of their huge Icona Pop-featuring hit Let You Down.
Reworked by both Dom Dolla and Lido, the new versions hear Dom Dolla throwing the joint straight into clubland territory. Lido however, who’s absence has made us even more hungry for new music, reminds us of his production skills by delivering a twisted futuretronic-led remix.

The 2018 line-up for Lollapalooza Paris has been announced, adding Depeche Mode, Travis Scott, Gorillaz and The Killers onto the headline bill.
Set to land at the city’s Hippodrome de Longchamp on the 21/22nd July weekend, the event, which will also feature a variety of art exhibitions and the finest French cuisine, also sees additional appointments including Rag’n’Bone Man, Years & Years, Dillon Francis, Diplo and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Two years on from his acclaimed When It’s Dark Out LP, G-Eazy has returned with his all-new album The Beautiful & Damned.
Spanning 20 songs (giving him a one-up on Eminem’s 19 cuts on Revival), The Beautiful & Damned hears a multitude of collaborations for the Cali-based rapper. With notable appearances from the likes of Halsey, Charlie Puth and Cardi B (alongside A$AP Rocky), one shining cut hears G-Eazy form a rework of SG Lewis and Louis Mattrs’ still-wonderful No Less. Almost three years since the original song was released (appearing on Lewis’ 2015 Shivers EP), it’s encouraging to hear Eazy’s kept the essence of the track at its core. Delivering just the minimal of reworking, this new edit hears G throw some smooth bars across the verses, with Mattrs’ sultry vocals taking pride and place in the chorus.

Calvin Harris offered a complete change in direction when he dropped his Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1 record earlier this year. Switching his big-room anthems for something more sultry, the project saw a completely different side to the electronic producer, and it seems there’s no sign of Calvin slowing down on his genre-hopping as he teams up with SZA to for the official remix of the latter’s The Weekend.
The crux of the original remains at the forefront; instead Calvin has morphed the track from a sultry R&B trip toward an uplifting, bouncy territory.

Following a somewhat-lengthy campaign, Eminem has unveiled Revival, his first album in four years.
Sprawling 19 tracks, the album hears Em team up with many of his frequent collaborators, including Rick Rubin and Alex da Kid, for a record which seeks to remind fans of the relevance he still plays within the spoken-word space of modern-day hip-hop.
There’s much on offer here – from opening with the Beyonce-featuring Walk On Water, Revival continues with guest appearances all the way from Ed Sheeran and Alicia Keys, to P!nk and X Ambassadors; there’s a fair few surprises thrown in too.
Whilst his anti-Trump BET freestyle fails to make an appearance, there’s still a huge amount from a politically-charged standpoint – genre-entwining rock, pop and gospel across hard-hitting rap, Em feels convincing, particularly through clever samples ranging from The Cranberries-classic Zombie (In Your Head) to I Love Rock & Roll (on Remind Me).
Though not an instant classic like some of his earlier work (note The Slim Shady LP), Revival definitely helps to fill a gap which we never thought was vacant. Listen to the album in full below:
Jorja Smith has taken on the heavyweight task of covering one of Frank Ocean’s biggest tracks, Lost.
Recorded during her recent Spotify Singles session at London’s Metropolis Studios, Jorja’s rendition of the Frank classic scales the original fully back, with the singer herself taking more of a centre stage with her dreamy vocals.
