After teasing the project on his Twitter account last night, Francis and the Lights has released a surprise new album, Just For Us.
Featuring ten new songs, the project is the first album from Francis Starlite and co since last year’s Farewell, Starlite.

Jessie Ware’s Glasshouse was undoubtedly one of this year’s finest projects; from further continuing the intimacy of predecessor Tough Love to reminding us all of Ware’s incredible vocal range, the whole album was simply one of 2017’s greats.
However, behind the scenes, Ware has also been working on a side excursion, delving into her love of cooking alongside her mum on her regular Table Manners podcast. So far enlisting guests all the way from Sam Smith and Annie Mac to Will Young and Loyle Carner, it’s this week’s episode which particularly hits the spot.
Featuring Radio 1’s Clara Amfo, a quick opener hears Jessie reveal some stupidly-excellent Prince facts. From the Purple One getting in contact to remix Devotion breakthrough Wildest Moments (under the guise of Joshua World), to personally inviting Ware to support him on tour some years later (which she had to decline due to clashes with wedding plans).
The whole episode is a massive eye-opener; and coupled with Jessie’s endearing personality, the entire Table Manners series is one you won’t want to sleep on.

Jay-Z has enlisted Beyonce and Blue Ivy for his new Family Feud video.
Lifted off his recent 4:44 LP, the track also hears Beyonce provide backing vocals in a song which seems to throw reference toward “Becky” from Bey’s own LEMONADE-outtake, Sorry.

After a short teaser earlier in the week, Eminem has now premiered his new video for Walk On Water in full.
Serving as the lead single from Em’s ninth studio record Revival (which also features the likes of Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys and Pink), Walk On Water also marks the first collaboration between Slim and Beyonce. Meanwhile, whilst Bey fails to appear in the clip, the visual does pay tribute to D12’s Proof who was tragically killed back in 2006.

James Blake has dropped an early Christmas present for fans by presenting the studio recording of his cover of Dom McLean’s Vincent.
Having initially premiered the rework during a summer performance at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (the song was originally written in homage to Vincent Van Gogh, whose Vincent painting is on permanent show at the venue), Blake’s cover has since become a staple in his regular US shows.

Whilst this year saw Erykah Badu celebrate 20 years since the release of her landmark debut Baduizm, this summer was also poignant, being also two decades since the passing of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.
To mark the occasion, Badu graced US TV’s The Tonight Show to perform Kuti’s iconic Sorrow Tears And Blood alongside her own On and On.

Sir Spyro has enlisted Ghetts and Jaykae to rework London Grammar’s Hell To The Liars.
Lifted off London Grammar’s impressive sophomore record Truth Is a Beautiful Thing, Spyro and co switch things up from the original, with both Ghetts and Jaykae throwing some smooth bars across a reimagined backtrack. Hannah Reid’s vocals remain gracefully in-tact too.

Kendrick Lamar has capped off 2017 by sharing the video for LOVE., the latest single from April’s DAMN.
Directed by Dave Meyers and the Little Homies (who also collaborated with Kendrick on the HUMBLE. visual), the track focuses on the intricacies of relationships – from love and passion all the way to arguments and feuds.
