The Chemical Brothers will be bringing their full live show to London’s iconic Alexandra Palace later this year.
Set to grace the venue on 5th October, the show will follow multiple live appearances for the duo as they embark across Europe to a run of major festivals throughout the summer.
Alongside their Ally Pally show, The Chemical Brothers have also provided an adaptation of 2015’s ‘EML Ritual’ as the soundtrack to O2’s latest ‘Follow The Rabbit’ advert, supporting the network’s commitment to live music. Shift K3Y heads to Morocco for his new ‘Only You’ video
Having been responsible for tracks across the music-sphere, including joints from the likes of Becky Hill, Tinie Tempah and Stormzy, last month saw Shift K3Y go out on his own again, kickstarting the year with ‘Only You’.
Four weeks on, and having already been given the nod by 1Xtra’s DJ Target (who premiered the song back in January), the producer has now dropped off the track’s uplifting Moroccan-filmed visuals.

Listen to Chrome Sparks’ hypnotic ‘Still Think’
Chrome Sparks (aka Jeremy Malvin) knows how to make his tracks shine. His forthcoming eponymous debut album via Counter Records (a Ninja Tune imprint), boasts a sparkling sound: a euphony of hip-hop, house and bright-beaming synthwork. On new single ‘Still Think’, the vocoder vocals and saccharine melodies show a predilection for straight-for-the-jugular songwriting. But there’s also a lush texture and intricacy to the synths and arpeggios which underpin the track, hinting at the studio gear in particular, a trusty Moog synth which was a vital part of how he made the record.
The album is the product of an obsessive approach to production as much it is about a restless hunt for new ideas over several years spent between Malvin’s Navy Yard, Brooklyn studio and a secluded cabin in upstate New York. He spent a month there to escape the distractions of the city, and to distill his process during what became an intensive period of creativity.
Due out on April 13th, his debut long-player arrives after a series of much-tipped singles and EPs on Future Classic. Listen to ‘Still Think’ below:
Hear Vancouver Sleep Clinic’s sprawling new single ‘Ayahuasca’
Vancouver Sleep Clinic has revealed his second new song in less than a week with the stunning ‘Ayahuasca’. Showcasing the icy vocals of VSC’s Tim Bettison, the track comes as a result of the Australian’s hibernation during the recording of new sounds – “Ayahuasca is a world that I lived and breathed in over a weekend in my little studio apartment in LA. I bought a bunch of food, shut the blinds, lined the walls with LEDs & locked myself into a journey for three days” he says, adding “It’s the song I’ve always wanted to make but never been brave enough to. Something that defied any normal expectation & allowed me to express every inch of what i was feeling at the time. A place where you can shut your eyes for 8 minutes and escape reality.”.

Emily Eavis teases more nuggets for Glastonbury 2019 & 2020
Emily Eavis has given further glimpses of 2019’s Glastonbury Festival, alongside the site’s 50th anniversary the following year.
First up, Eavis has confirmed that Glastonbury’s Block 9 will expand for 2019. Speaking to NME regarding Glastonbury’s return after 2018’s fallow year, Eavis teased some gradual tweaks to the site – “We’re spreading out Block 9 a bit” she said, adding “[we’re] giving them more space as they’ve got some pretty mind boggling ideas that we’re putting into action”.
Alongside Block 9, which is nestled in Worthy Farm’s south-east ‘naughty corner’, Emily also confirmed more developments – “We’ve been chatting to Arcadia about doing something quite radical in that field – they’ve come up with some inspired plans. It’s best kept under wraps, but it’s certainly raising the bar!”

The same interview also revealed that headliners for Glastonbury 2020, the festival’s 50th anniversary, are also nearly close to being finalised – “We have two lined up and a few ideas for the Sunday teatime slot too – that’s the new fourth headline slot”.
Glastonbury Festival returns to Worthy Farm on from 26-30th June 2019; Mike Pickering’s Hacienda Classical are the sole act confirmed for 2019 so far, after Pickering revealed the news on Radio X back in December.
Watch Drake’s new video for ‘God’s Plan’
Drake has shared the video for ‘God’s Plan’ after teasing the project earlier in the week.
Citing the visual as “the most important thing I have ever done in my career”, the clip sees Drizzy go on the offence of being a good citizen, giving away almost a million dollars to multiple causes. “The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label,” says the video’s opener, with the close adding “We’re nothing without our mothers. Gotta make sure you take care of your mom, too, no matter what you do. It’s all we got. Trust me. That’s my world.”

Hear Kara Marni’s evocative new single ‘Curve’
Last year, 19 years old, singer/ song-writer Kara Marni burst on the scene with her rippling debut ‘Golden’, a track which oozed instant comparisons from the likes of Jill Scott to Jasmine Sullivan. Now, after what seems too long a wait, we’ve finally heard more new music from the youngster, as she kick-starts 2018 with the beautiful ‘Curve’.
Bringing all her influences together (think Minnie Riperton to Dionne Warwick to The Supremes), ‘Curve’ is as intelligent as it is evocative; plus the nifty sample of Dusty Springfield’s ‘Spooky’ no-doubt adds another element of pleasure on-top.

Listen: Wiley shares new song ‘Been A While’
Wiley has shared the third song from his anticipated ‘Godfather 2’ album, going out on his own with ‘Been A While’.
The track, which follows previous songs ‘Bar’ and ‘I Call The Shots’, comes ahead of the late-March release of the Bow MC’s new record. He will also celebrate the release of the album with a headline UK tour, including a sold-out show at London’s Brixton Academy.
