In an unexpected move, Beyonce has unveiled a new, unheard cut in the form of Rise Up.
The track, taken from the forthcoming animated movie Epic where Bey voices character Queen Tara, is an inspirational ballad and sees her back focuses on empowerment – a subject she is known to hero.

US R&B singer Ciara has unveiled her new single Super Turnt Up, the next cut from her forthcoming self-titled album.
Premiered a little over half-an-hour ago on US radio station Power 106, Super Turnt Up cleverly utilises elements of trap, hip-hop and R&B to create a super chart-friendly track that’s clearly going to do wonders on the US club scene.

With new LP Random Access Memories currently riding high in the global album charts, French dance extraordinaires have confirmed that a remix version is currently in the works. What’s more, earlier today, the duo announced that hit single Get Lucky, which features Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers is set for a July release.
Famously, the dance twosome have always refused to remix their own work, however this marks a large shift in the wake of the phenomenally-successful sales figures of the album.
The official remix of Get Lucky is set for a July 16th vinyl release, featuring a 10:31 version as well as both the radio and album edits.
It’s taken a while, but Busta Rhymes has finally thrown down the shield and collaborated with label-mate Nicki Minaj on the official remix of his new single Twerk It.
The track, released last month, sees Minaj go dancehall on the remix whilst paying homage to genre-stars Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer and Beenie Man and Bounty Killer. The remix seriously opens the gates of reminding listeners of the ex-American Idol’s ability to still throw down some sincere bars.

Warner Pictures and Nokia have released a special preview trailer of the forthcoming Man of Steel movie, the sequel to 2006’s Superman Returns.
The trailer, expected to be the final one until the official movie’s release on 14th June does contain a few spoilers of the full movie, but for those that are just dying for any glimpse of the release then hit the play button below! It’ll be one of the best 2 minute trailers you’ll ever see!
New York’s Green Lantern has given Iggy Azalea’s Bounce the once-over for the upcoming Bounce EP. With elements of trap, and sounding not too distant from Baauer’s past work, coupled with a thumping kick drum and Iggy’s rapid vocals, the remix is well worked, and holds its own. Green Lantern has certainly given the track a shake, break and made it Bounce even more.

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift have unveiled the video for their duet on Everything Has Changed. The track is to be the fourth single off Swift’s hit No.1 album Red, whilst the video features child ‘versions’ of the duo meeting and become friends (clearly the creative has been handled by Sheeran vs Swift’s own houses).

New Manchester three-piece, Berlin Berlin have unveiled their debut single Josef. Combining the melancholic throb of 80’s electronica and the experimental mindset of Krautrock to fashion something truly euphoric, Josef is a perfect illustration of their sound and an exciting indicator of things to come. Glittering electronics and dancing lazer-synths are pinned down by heavy, driving drums with a chorus as anthemic as it is uplifiting.
Promising, ‘dark beauty on an epic scale’, their sound is both immediate and vast, and the band name influences as varied as Aphex Twin and Dennis Wilson and space rockers Spiritualized. Both experimental and populist, other reference points include psychedelic indie rockers, House of Love, the art-house hybrid electronica of pre-stadium Simple Minds, Bristol’s Massive Attack, and the classic big beat sound of The Chemical Brothers.
The band consists of Jonny Holland (vocals/keys), Stuart Winnington (guitar/keys) and Jordan Hunstone (drums) and signed to new Manchester record label MUK Records in January of this year.
Berlin Berlin host their single launch party at Manchester’s infamous Soup Kitchen on the 5th July.

Pharrell Williams has confirmed that he is currently recording in the studio with Justin Timberlake.
Posting a photo of the two artists together on Instagram earlier, Timberlake added to Pharrell’s “Me and my boy Justin. jtimberlake”, with “Wait until they hear what we were cookin’ on, P!!!”.

It hasn’t been confirmed as to whether the new music will appear on Williams’ future work or Timberlake’s forthcoming sequel to his no.1 album The 20/20 Experience (due September 30th), however regardless, this is exciting news indeed.
