Fresh from confirming her signing to Island Records last year, British artist Elli Ingram has unveiled her first new track, titled Mad Love.
The fantastically-summery single follows Ingram’s previous social releases, including some fantastic covers of Kendrick Lamar’s Poetic Justice and Jay-Z/Kanye’s No Church In The Wild.

In the early hours, Jay-Z confirmed his alliance with tech manufacturer Samsung as well as announcing his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail. The album, his first solo studio album since 2009’s The Blueprint 3 was announced in a commercial during last night’s NBA Finals, and is expected to include collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz, Rick Rubin and Timbaland.
In the exclusive tie-up, owners of Samsung phones will have access to the new album 72 hours before release.

US artists Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have unveiled their first new material since 2012’s chart-topping The Heist.
The new track, entitled Stay At Home Dad sees Macklemore getting reflective on how life would be different if he was, errr, a stay-at-home-dad. Dropping in time for Father’s Day, the track is available to listen below:
The Islington Metal Works played host to the annual Coppafeel Festifeel event yesterday, with a multitude of both up-and-coming and big name acts turning up to support breast cancer awareness.
Curated by Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton, the one-day indoor festival was put on to urge those to regularly ‘check their boobs’ for signs of potential breast cancer, and the message certainly was clear, with Coppafeel branding ever-present throughout the venue, including all the artists and organisers who happily donned stickers and tattoos to show their support.
The charity is clear with their message, saying that “We’re on a mission to stamp out late detection and misdiagnosis of breast cancer by ensuring that you know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, know what your boobs look and feel like normally, check your boobs regularly throughout your lifetime and have the confidence to seek medical referral if you detect any changes.”
Starting the day with British singer VV Brown, the indie/pop artist graced the crowds with cuts from her forthcoming album Samson & Delilah (which marks a considerable about-turn in terms of musical style; think more AlunaGeorge-esque!), whilst also playing a beautiful rendition of her 2009 hit Shark In The Water.

Moving swiftly in to the ‘main room’ was Gabrielle Aplin, the British artist who shot to fame with THAT rendtion of Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s The Power Of Love (used as the soundtrack to John Lewis’ infamous Xmas 2012 TV commercial).
Proving to have as much on-stage charisma and presence as someone both older than her years as well time-in-the-industry, Aplin’s cut-down acoustic set silenced the crowd, performing tracks off her debut LP Home as well as a cheeky Bruce Springsteen cover of I’m On Fire

After a quick lookie into new indie band the Tribes (which the crowd clearly enjoyed!), as well as a brief encounter with 1Xtra DJ Mistajam playing some disco and funk (opening with anything by Chic is sure to get a party started!), it was time to return to the main room to witness headliner Maverick Sabre.
Again, playing a stripped-down version of his normal live set (unfortunately backing vocalist Chantelle Nandi was nowhere to be seen), Mav gee’d up the crowd, performing multiple tracks from his breakthrough album Lonely Are The Brave. In a surprise move, the singer also performed an exclusive new track, so new [it’d only been written two weeks ago], that it’s yet to be named!

It seems like congratulations are in the air (and just in time for Father’s Day for Kanye West too) as Kim Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl two hours ago.
The as-yet-unnamed child was born one month early in a Los Angeles hospital; all signs are of a healthy birth so far.
It certainly is a busy week for West; not only is being a new dad mammoth enough, his long-awaited sixth studio album Yeezus is set to drop on Monday, after already being leaked two days back.

It’s managed to stay under wraps despite all the hype, but inevitably it didn’t take long for Kanye West’s forthcoming album Yeezus to leak.
The 10-track LP, due for release this coming Monday, leaked earlier today (Friday), and quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.
Whilst the source of the leak hasn’t been revealed, there have been many listening parties of the new cut this week. Speaking at the New York party on Tuesday, Mashable journalist Brian Hernandez tweeted:
I'm at @kanyewest's private listening session for his album #Yeezus. We can record videos 'cause he doesn't care if it leaks before June 18.

When describing the possible leaks of the new album, West said: “I have this new strategy. It’s called no strategy….. this album is all about giving. This whole process is all about giving no f*cks at all.”

Alicia Keys has released the visual accompaniment to her new single Tears Always Win, the forthcoming release from her chart-topping album Girl On Fire.
The video sees a fresh look for Keys, appearing as a Las Vegas burlesque act after leaving her down-trodden apartment; subtle yet smooth.

With less than a week to go until the official release, Kanye West has managed to keep his new album Yeezus away from any leaking eyes…. that is until now, with album track Send It Up surfacing online. The track, featuring Chicago rapper King L, is supported by a mammoth beat, simple yet effective as we’ve come to expect from West’s discography.
If early predictions are correct, Yeezy is set for a stormer of a week, with pre-orders for the new album already expected to be over the coveted 500,000 mark.
