One Direction member Zayn Malik has confirmed rumours that he is engaged to Perrie Edwards from UK girl group Little Mix.
The singer, interviewed by Capital FM with the rest of his band at the premiere of new movie One Direction: This Is Us laid rumours to rest after Perrie’s mum accidentally let slipping during an on-air interview yesterday.

Taking to UK radio station Kiss 100 earlier this afternoon, pop star Lady Gaga let slip a few secrets regarding her forthcoming album and live performances.
Speaking to show presenters Michael & Tinea, the star confirmed that her new album ARTPOP is set to contain many collaborations, including production by up-and-coming (and blog-favourite) French producer Madeon.
The singer also unveiled further information on the album, particularly confirming that a follow-up to 2010 hit Telephone is to be featured on the new LP. She followed by announcing that the video of the track is currently being shot, further intensifying rumours of the follow-up being the second single off the ARTPOP album. Gaga also confirmed that her appearance at the iTunes Festival in September will showcase the world premiere of the new track, along with 5 others from the November-released album.

A new trailer for TV music talent show The X Factor has been unveiled, prior to the launch of the tenth series.
The trailer, filmed from the perspective of one of the contestant, reveals the return of the initial audition room, replacing the audience-based auditions that have taken precedence during recent seasons.
The video also confirms the final line-up of judge appearances by Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Nicole Sherzinger, whilst also welcoming back Sharon Osbourne to the judging panel.
The release of the new video comes one day after host Dermot O’Leary unwittingly may have confirmed the departure of Barlow once the season ends. When questioned about the possible return of Simon Cowell at One Direction’s This Is Us movie premiere last night, O’Leary said: “If Simon comes back, the dynamic would be very different. Gary wouldn’t be there – he’ll be leaving at the end of this year. Simon is a great judge so we’d welcome him back, but Gary’s been such a great head judge as well.”
