As you may have realised, this week marked the release of Janelle Monae’s acclaimed The Electric Lady LP, and whilst it’s been winning over new fans across the globe, lucky US fans who managed to get a copy from a Target store were treated with a bonus track – a remix of title track Electric Lady.
The remix not only features Outkast’s Big Boi, along with Cee-Lo Green and Solange Knowles, however also a brand new verse from Monae herself.

Britney Spears has unveiled a 20-second instrumental snippet of her forthcoming new single Work Bitch.
The track, produced in parts by Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso and co-written by Will.I.Am, is taken from the star’s forthcoming as-yet-untitled eighth studio album, and is expected to premiere in its full guise over the next couple of days.

British band the Arctic Monkeys took to BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge today, performing Canadian rapper Drake’s new track Hold On We’re Going Home.
The song, the title track to Drake’s new album, has been given a completely unique Arctic Monkeys reworking, with an impressive end-result.
The Arctic Monkeys are currently riding high, with their new album AM expected to take to the top spot on the official UK album charts on Sunday.

Award-winning Australian singer/songwriter Sia has confirmed that her forthcoming fifth album is near completion, and pencilled in for a March 2014 release.
Confirming the news to fans by her Facebook page, the news has sent the Twittersphere into overdrive; Sia is regarded as one of the most sought-after writers and musicians in the business, collaborating with artists across many genres, including David Guetta, Zero 7, and Mutya Keisha Siobhan.
