Famed for his work with Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott and Jay Z himself, Timbaland, whose career has spanned more than 20 years, has redefined R&B music throughout the globe.

US rapper J. Cole has released the official video for his new single Crooked Smile, featuring TLC.
The video, which does not feature the remaining members of the 90s R&B girl group, is dedicated to 7-year old Aiyana Stanley-Jones, killed during a 2010 police raid in Detroit.

Swedish producer Avicii has confirmed he is to join Capital FM to host his own Saturday night show.
The midnight shows on Saturday night (starting this Saturday) will see Avicii mixing ‘the biggest and best club tracks and remixes’ on a monthly basis
Avicii, whose debut album True hit shelves earlier last week, was responsible for the year’s fastest selling single, with Wake Me Up.
Of the appointment, Avicii said: “I’m so excited to have a monthly show on Capital FM. Being able to spread the music that I love and give my UK fans an update on my everyday life on the road, exciting projects and new releases is truly amazing.”

The new album, set for 25th November release (one week after Robbie Williams’ new solo effort Swings Both Ways), is Barlow’s first full new studio LP since 1999’s sophomore attempt with Twelve Months, Eleven Days.

The track, expected to drop today, will be supported by a new video by the end of the month too. The timing comes almost 15 years to the day since the British singer released her No 1 debut with Missy Elliott I Want You Back.

Now THIS is clever. Disclosure have shared a 360º video of their live performance of Sam Smith-vocalled hit Latch.
The performance, in Central Park, New York, was part of the dance duo’s recent stint in the US, in preparation for month-long headline tour across the USA and Canada.

New Zealand teenage singer-songwriter Lorde, along with rapper Kanye West, were among the guests on the first episode of the new series of BBC’s Later With Jools Holland.
Other stars gracing the stage included Kings of Leon, who performed Supersoaker, off their new album Mechanical Bull, along with Sting, Drenge and Bill Medley.
Lorde, who is the first female solo act to top the Billboard Alternative Songs chart since Tracy Bonham in 1996 (Wiki fact there for you!), performed her number one hit Royals, whilst West took to performing Bound 2, Blood On The Leaves and New Slaves, bringing Charlie Wilson along for the ride with him.
