New Zealand rising star Lorde took to Huw Stephens’ Maida Vale sessions on Thursday to perform tracks from her forthcoming debut album Pure Heroine.
Playing acoustic versions of hit Royals, along with Buzzcut Season and White Teeth Teens, Lorde also spoken candidly to Stephens regarding the New Zealand music scene, meeting Kanye West during her Jools Holland set, along with her influences on SBTRKT’s Something Goes Right and FKA Twigs’ Water Me.

Legendary Chic frontman Nile Rodgers has taken to Twitter to unearth a secret track, written with longtime Earth, Wind & Fire member Philip Bailey.

Premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show tonight, British producer Matthew Walker, aka Julio Bashmore, has unveiled his new single Peppermint, featuring none other than our very own Jessie Ware.
The single is set to be included in the rising producer’s forthcoming as-yet-untitled debut album, due next year.
Her new album ARTPOP isn’t set for release until 11th November, however pop superstar Lady Gaga is ready to release a batch of new material in January. However, this time she won’t be solo.
During a recent interview in Japan, Jazz legend Tony Bennett let slip of a joint album between the pair, ready to be released for January 2014. “In January of next year we will release the album,” Bennett said, continuing “It is a very sensational jazz album, with great jazz artists on it, it came out wonderful.. I consider Lady Gaga the Picasso of the entertainment world. She is, you will find out. She is very intelligent and she is very right and she is a very talented person. I just love her so much, we’re just like brother and sister together.”

Pop band One Direction have confirmed a new agreement with Simon Cowell’s Sony offshoot Syco Records. The deal, said to be worth around £50m means the 5-piece band will continue to work with Cowell until the expiration toward the end of 2015.
The new agreement’s announcement coincides with the release of tickets to One Direction’s 2014 world stadium tour, set to include tracks from the group’s forthcoming third album Midnight Memories, due November 25th.

London collective Jungle are all set to drop their new EP, The Heat. The duo are famed for their May-released debut track Platoon (released last May), with accompanying video receiving massive acclaim from both sides of the pond.
The Heat continues the collective’s theme of cool neo-soul grooves on its relese on 21st October. Take a listen to the title track above.
