Acclaimed British trio London Grammar have premiered their new single Nightcall.
Heralded by Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe this evening as his ‘Hottest Record In The World’, Nightcall follows Strong as the next release off the group’s chart-topping LP If You Wait.

The apparent official video to Justin Bieber’s new single All That Matters has leaked online.
The track, which was initially meant to be unveiled yesterday as part of Bieber’s ‘Music Mondays’ series, also sprung a leak, and appeared online one day earlier.
Alfredo Flores, the video’s director, took to Twitter to confirm the leak, making jibes about the unfinished video spreading online:
I hate leaks. You work so hard on something and then people see it at 70% opposed to 100 like intended.

Ricky Gervais resurrected his much-loved The Office character David Brent last night, for the first of two sell-out gigs playing as the character himself.
In the show, Gervais performed with Brent’s own band Foregone Conclusion, belting out some of their hits including Slough and Life On The Road.
Fans of The Office will be overjoyed to hear Brent closed the show with track Free Love Freeway, to a rousing applause from the audience.

British singer/songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced her return to music with new album Wanderlust.
Set for release on 20th January (I can’t believe we’re already talking about 2014 releases!), the album will be preceded by the single Young Blood, which was initially premiered as a free download earlier this year.
Speaking of the new album, Ellis-Bextor’s fifth studio LP, the singer said “The album is about roaming and your sense of where you come from, and how you take home with you but you also have this desire to get out there and see the world. I found making this album really empowering. I felt like after ten years of making records, this is like the biggest present to myself. I’m really proud of it and I feel really excited.”

Acclaimed Leeds DJ/producer Hot Since 82 has unveiled his new track Shadows, featuring vocalist Alex Mills.
The progressive breakbeat track is taken from the 30 year-old Daley Padley’s forthcoming anticipated new album Little Black Book. If this is the sound of things to come, we can see an incredibly bright future for the DJ.

X Factor UK executive producer Mark Sidaway has confirmed that pop boyband One Direction are to make an appearance during this year’s live shows.

The appearance comes as no surprise considering the falling rating of the ITV talent show, however undoubtedly the appearance (date unconfirmed at this stage) will help drum up support for the group’s forthcoming third album Midnight Memories.
The band, who were originally formed in the 2010 series of the UK show, have returned annually to perform their hits, appearing twice last year on differing occasions.

The announcement, made over on Musicalize’s social platforms, also confirm that the November 22nd show at London’s IndigO2 will also feature ‘some amazing support and special guests’. We’re sure that after Brandy’s stellar show, Musicalize are ready to confirm some treats for us!
This is indeed exciting news; with Kim’s summer appearance at Lovebox Festival cancelled on the day, this will be the first showing of the two heralded femcees on UK shores in years.
