During an interview at the Grammy Awards over the weekend, Diplo teased further details regarding his upcoming releases – in turn highlighting how massively-busy he’s been.
Speaking to Tyler Oakley, Diplo confirmed that his full-length Skrillex-collaborative project Jack Ü album will drop this month. Meanwhile, the producer also confirmed that a new Major Lazer project is also set to land imminently, with a star cast including Ellie Goulding, Gwen Stefani and Ariana Grande (we’ve already heard the Lazer/Grande collab in the recent All My Love, from the Hunger Games: Mockingjay soundtrack).
Both the Jack U and Major Lazer albums will also be entwined with the release of Madonna’s new record, Rebel Heart: “The Madonna album’s out in March, I did a lot of her album” said Diplo, continuing “then there’s Major Lazer, my project which I did with Ariana Grande, Ellie Goulding, Travis Scott, Pusha-T, Gwen Stefani. That comes out in April. And with Skrillex I did an album called Jack Ü that’s out this month that’s really cool.”
Also on the Jack Ü front; it’s highly likely a Missy Elliott remix of Jack Ü and Kiesza’s Take Ü There will also drop imminently, following heavy rumours last week.
So that’s it then; Diplo’s obviously been a very very busy boy.
