Role title:
Stagedoor FM animator

Role type:
Freelance [Paid]

Location:
National (work-from-home role)

Role description:
As we push Stagedoor FM into the big-league, we’re looking for a freelance animator who can help design our custom content for our social-media channels. Primarily focused on driving content for our Instagram account, the successful applicant will be working on a self-employed basis, and must be proficient at creating animated artwork across multiple avenues, from cel-shaded to 2D, all the way to short 3D clips. All our content will be required to lead our audience to support our news stories, as well as drive social sharing. Tasks will be employed on an ad-hoc basis as there will not be a full requirement to have continuous output, hence the role being on a freelance/self-employed basis.

Experience requirements:

  • At least 3+ years in design animation; ideally with a university degree.
  • Previous experience in animation with a social focus.
  • Ability to keep to quick deadlines.
  • Understanding of the music scene – knowledge of the UK specialist/emerging scene would be a bonus, however not essential.
  • Advanced in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro X.
  • A self-starter with strong communication skills.

Role title:
Stagedoor FM news writer

Role type:
Freelance [Paid]

Location:
National (work-from-home role)

Role description:
With a wealth of news stories, alongside new music, happening daily, we’re struggling to keep up with the demand of pushing new, relevant content to our readers. With that in mind, we’re looking for new contributors to our team who are proficient in reporting the latest in new specialist music (house, electronica, lo-fi, future-garage, bass, grime, soul, funk and global urban). You do not need to have a passion for all the aforementioned genres, however at least one or two are necessary.

Our readers tend to visit Stagedoor FM for new music and video content, versus purely news articles, so sourcing these stories must be essential.

Experience requirements:

  • At least 2+ years experience in writing for the online community
  • Strong contacts with labels, management and PR agencies
  • Ability to source and push exclusive content and new-music premieres
  • A personable approach to your writing style, and an ability to make readers feel welcomed into the article
  • Ability to keep to quick deadlines.
  • Understanding of the music scene – knowledge of the UK specialist/emerging scene and/or the global urban sphere
  • Proven experience in using WordPress/HTML for creating/editing content pieces
  • A self-starter with strong communication skills.
  • A strong social-media following is highly-preferred, however not essential
