Hip hop royalty Cypress Hill have announced plans for a globally-broadcast live-streamed show this weekend.

Set to take place in MelodyVR’s LA studio, the 19th June gig will be streamed in full 360 virtual reality, across Melody’s Oculus and iOS/Android apps. The set will be completely free to watch, and will mark the trio’s first performance together since lockdown, having had to postpone their tour due to the global COVID-19 outbreak.

Of the show, the hip-hop kings said “When we were approached to perform for our fans again, we jumped on it. We definitely wanted to give them a unique experience with this intimate show. Partnering with MelodyVR for Live from LA allowed us to do just that.”

The latest gig as part of MelodyVR’s ‘Live From LA’ series, the virtual reality broadcaster has tied up exclusive performances across the globe, and next month will showcase Wireless Festival’s new ‘Wireless Connect’ three-day event, featuring performances from the US and London.
