Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis has confirmed the first major name for 2020’s lineup, revealing Wolf Alice will return to Worthy Farm for the festival’s 50th anniversary.

Speaking to the Bristol Post earlier today, Eavis, who now oversees every Glastonbury edition alongside daughter Emily, said “[Wolf Alice] were really keen to come and play the party for us again. We love hosting bands who want to play it and they’re just so fantastic live…. They’ll definitely be on next year’s Glastonbury lineup for sure.”

Next month, Wolf Alice will headline 2019’s Pilton Party – the annual event created by Eavis to thank locals for their patience during the Glastonbury upheaval. They will also be joined by ‘special guests’ who will be revealed on the day. Teasing the extra name on the line-up, Michael revealed “They’re a big, big band who are reforming just for this. They’ve got loads of hit records and they’re going to be absolutely great, I can’t wait to see them.”
