It’s been two years since The Weeknd released his last full-length record (2016’s ‘Starboy‘), and bar his surprise ‘My Dear Melancholy‘ EP released back in March, rumours of another new album have been fairly thin on the ground.

Until now that is…

During his XHOUSE live show in Toronto last night (6th November), Abel finally teased his long-awaited return – “I wanna let you guys know being in Toronto these past two days I haven’t been this inspired in years” he said. “I got to tell you. I want you guys to be the first to know I’m working on my new album right now. ‘Chapter 6’ coming soon, let’s get it!”

After the show, The Weeknd then tweeted “some chapters are smaller than others. not this next one though…” – could that be a glimpse of a double release (much in the same vein as The 1975’s ‘Music For Cars’ era)?
