Jessie Reyez has enlisted fellow Torontonian Daniel Caesar for a stunning remix of her breakout single ‘Figures’, now reworked as ‘Figures, a Reprise’. Released as a surprise new edit today, Caesar’s honeyed vocals along with additional production make this a truly special reimagining of the pared-back acoustic track which first catapulted Reyez into the spotlight last year – the pair performed this new version at last night’s Canadian Juno Awards, where Reyez was nominated for four and took home Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
