According to Prince’s estate adviser Troy Carter, unreleased Prince music is on its way.

Speaking to Variety earlier in the week, Carter revealed that “[Prince] was a guy who practically lived in a recording studio, and once we started going through [the unreleased material] we really started finding some gems”. “I heard some music the other night that was pretty mind-blowing and we’re getting some stuff mixed right now. We’ve got great projects in the works that I’m excited to talk about.” he added.

Troy failed to deliver a time-frame for when fans would hear the music, aside from teasing that the track-releases would be “coming soon”.

Following Prince’s shock death in 2016, the singer’s estate struck a multi-million dollar deal with Universal Music who were handed rights from many recordings from Prince’s former label Warner Music. However both labels still own elements of the singer’s discography, so it’s unclear as to which label the unreleased music will be shared from.

More as we hear it.
