Ed Sheeran has announced his engagement to girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
Revealing the news on Instagram, Ed confirmed the proposal took place before the clock ticked into 2018 – “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx”
Sheeran has always been notoriously private about his personal life, particularly showing concern about bringing Seaborn into the public limelight; however Ed recently revealed that having Cherry by his side helped him avoid a downward spiral during his year sabbatical from the music world in 2016.
