Earlier this year, Solomon Grey shared a live video for Broken Light, the haunting yet atmospheric standout from their excellent self-titled debut LP. Today, the track receives an official release as the duo’s latest single, and also marks the first time the London-based boys have lent their music to a soundtrack.

Provided as the backing audio for the trailer of new Russell Tovey movie The Pass, the pairing appears as a subject close to the hearts of the band’s Tom and Joe – “It’s frustrating to think that anyone in our society does not feel they can openly be themselves” says the duo, adding “The Pass is an important film which highlights this issue within the world of professional football, and as football fans we were very happy to include our single Broken Light in the trailer”.

Broken Light lands on 9th December, coinciding with the cinema release of The Pass, alongside an additional remix courtesy of Anjunadeep-heralded Ashworth.
