Beyonce looks set to bag one of the biggest shows in her career by headlining 2017’s Coachella in California.

According to entertainment site Goss.ie (and subsequently The Sun), Coachella’s booking team were reportedly ‘blown away’ by her recent 14-minute LEMONADE set at last weekend’s MTV VMAs. A source has told the newspaper that “[Beyonce] has been on their hitlist for months and after Sunday’s show they knew they had to land her. She’s going to be a huge draw.”

If true, Beyonce’s appearance will mark the first time she has played to a Coachella audience, having previously only been there as a visitor. It will also likely be her biggest single-audience show since she hit Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2011.

Alongside Beyonce, other strong rumours point to both Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar as the final two headliners – if all confirmed this is going to be one of the biggest festivals in the 2017 calendar. Madness!

US indie-rock group The Shins are so far the sole act confirmed for next year’s Coachella, which once again will run across two weekends – 14-17 April and 21-23 April.
