In case you’ve been living under a rock, Adele was the Saturday night headliner at this year’s Glastonbury festival, in what the superstar called “the biggest fucking moment of my life”. Delivering a set full of hits and crowd-pleasers, it was far to say we haven’t seen any other headliner in previous years have such a deeper connection with her 110,000+ audience.

Admittedly nervous of the largest show in her career (Adele’s been previously vocal regarding her anxiousness at such a task), the set went marginally without any drastic hitches – if any were prevalent, they were quickly sidelined by the singer’s charisma, charm, comedy and wit. None of it ever felt ‘put on’ – this was Adele, someone who is clearly fully in touch of who she is as both an artist and as a person. In fact, she could have just hopped on stage, opened with Hello, closed with Someone Like You, spend the middle 90-minutes just chatting, and it still would have been more than great.
