Whilst he may not have released a huge amount of music over the past few years, Tensnake has always been one of those artists who, when he does drop something, you know it’s going to be special. One only needs to look at 2014’s glorious Love Sublime to realise that the German producer’s been graced by one heck of a magic touch, and today he completely delivers on that ethos by sharing Desire.

Offering a solid taste of summer disco-led funk, Desire paves the way for an all-new collection of sounds from the musician, influenced by a Far East experience that seems to have struck an internal chord. Sharing the song courtesy of THUMP moments ago, Tensnake speaks candidly about the song – “When I recorded the idea for the the track I was traveling in Malaysia” he says, adding “My hotel was pretty close to a minaret and hearing the muezzin reminded me of some old repetitive mesmerizing chants. This experience and location influenced this track and the whole EP”.
