Following his recent live debut at Manchester’s Warehouse Project, newcomer Makeness has shared 14 Drops, the first joint from his upcoming 14 Drops / Acid Dad double A-sider.
Created “with a live setting in mind”, 14 Drops hears a cool fusion of thumping bass-led jazz – in an age where specialist house is starting to feel quite ‘samey’, Makeness has developed something that certainly stands out from the crowd. Opening as a slow-burner, the track travels through to some patient (yet inviting) grooves, with beautiful synths rearing their heads as the instrumental continues.
