Earlier this year, Jorja Smith dropped her debut single Blue Lights onto Soundcloud – over 450k streams later, the track’s official video has landed, and it’s as delicate as the song itself.
Having already received props from the likes of Stormzy and Skrillex (yep!), Blue Lights is an earworm at its finest – a gloriously-simple beat, supported by Smith’s simply-stunning vocals (and story-telling abilities).
Mesmerise yourself with this one; if Jorja’s output continues with this kind of sentiment, the UK could well be looking at another huge export, potentially in-line with the FKA Twigs-camp.
