Muse have been confirmed as the Friday night headliner for this summer’s Glastonbury Festival, joining the previously-announced Coldplay (who will be closing the show on Sunday 26th June).

Confirmed on Muse’s Twitter feed moments ago (and subsequently retweeted by Glastonbury’s official account), the band’s headline show will be the third time they’ve hit the Pyramid Stage in the past twelve years.

The final headliner is still to-be-announced, however organisers Emily and Michael Eavis have previously confirmed all three slots will be given to British artists.

More as we hear it – in the meantime, a ticket resale is expected to take place in early-April.
