If you’ve been following Missy Elliott on Twitter over the past couple of weeks, you’ll have been laying witness to the megastar throwing trips down memory-lane with snippets of her impressive videos. Today however, Missy’s dropped something pretty special that would probably excite even hardcore fans.

Sharing a short clip of her iconic Work It video (lifted off her incredible Under Construction LP), the innovator confirmed that the iconic ‘flip reverse’ on the song’s chorus was not actually intended for the track.

“..the flip & reverse in the song was a mistake when I recorded so I kept it” said the star, whilst also sharing a short clip of the visual.

Ok, we admit, it’s not really ‘news’ as news goes… but, fuck it – we’re massive Missy Elliott fans here, and for us, a piece of insight that big is definitely worthy of a mention, right?

You can watch the full video for Work It below; meanwhile Missy’s been hard at work on her first full-length studio album in almost a decade, and recently revealed the record’s lead single WTF (Where They From). A release date for her anticipated new project has yet to be revealed.
