Even though this year’s Coachella is still almost two months away, a major artist has already confirmed his appearance for next year’s event.

During a Twitter Q&A this morning, Nile Rodgers confirmed he’ll be heading to the Californian desert in 2017, implying that his Chic band will be joining him too.

The line-up for Coachella 2016 was revealed at the turn of the month, and will see headline performances from Calvin Harris plus a reunited Guns N’ Roses (more info here).

During the Twitter session (Rodgers is one of the few stars who takes the time to personally speak to fans via the network), the godfather of disco also confirmed that an all-new Chic album will land in the Spring. There’s been no word so-far as to why the project initially became delayed (the record was set to drop last May, following Rodgers & Chic’s signing with Warner), though the collection’s appearance never transpired.
