Emily Eavis has promised a line-up “strong on women” for this year’s Glastonbury Festival, alongside hinting about some acts she’s excited for.

Speaking to Noisey earlier in the week, Eavis affirmed her love for the UK MC, particularly females – “There’s a feeling in the Silver Hayes that a lot of exciting stuff will be happening over there”, she says, adding “There are loads of great female MCs coming through this year which is quite exciting. Little Simz and Lady Leshurr and people like that.”

Silver Hayes organisers certainly knew how to throw on some of the biggest names in the scene – 2015’s Glastonbury graced the likes of George Fitzgerald, Hannah Wants, Tourist, Wilkinson and more amongst their packed line-up, and undoubtedly became one of our favourite spots last year.

During the interview, Emily also informed of a slight change in the Glastonbury landscape, with the John Peel stage moving further upfield, overtaking the previous Hospitality Camping space.

You can check the rest of the interview here – definitely one to get clued up on if you’re attending this year. And if you missed out on tickets, then expect a resale later in the spring – be wary, mind – Emily adds that ticket allocation in the resale is likely to be low – “It’ll probably be a few low thousand – a couple thousand, something like that”.

Glastonbury 2015 runs from 22-26th June.
