Music discovery is a wonderful thing… in fact, we could firmly say that had it not been for YouTube’s ‘Recommended’ tab, we probably wouldn’t have lead ears over BB Diamond until much later in the game.
Just over two years ago, BB’s rendition of Rosie Gaines’ iconic Closer Than Close popped into our feed, and from there, the intrigue started. Fast-forward into 2015, and following a period spent providing BVs for the likes of Ella Henderson and Katy B, the youngster dropped her bouncy, UKG-tinged Instinct, a track which enabled Diamond’s name to start circling the scene. The release also coincided with her being snapped up by Turn First, the management house who count the likes of Ellie Goulding and Zayn Malik amongst their roster (so basically, you know she’s gonna be in safe hands).
Now as we close off 2015, BB’s hooked up with Shift K3Y to provide vocal duties to his excellent Gone Missing. She seems to be doing everything right when it comes to whipping up interest from the tastemakers – fingers crossed 2016 sees more than just a trickle of music.
