Now a staple in the “It’s Not Christmas Until….” stakes, the seasonal John Lewis advert has easily become an annual talking point, thanks in-part to their emotive stance on the execution.
Whilst all ears and eyes are eagerly-awaiting this year’s commercial (which is set to land tomorrow, 6th November), it seems the soundtrack provider has already been revealed ahead of time.
Various news reports seem to lead to Norwegian newcomer Aurora, herself who delivered her immaculate Running with Wolves debut EP earlier this year. Following previous covers from the likes of Tom Odell (who sung last year’s Real Love sync) and Lily Allen (2013’s Somewhere Only We Know), John Lewis’ 2015 ad is likely to hear Aurora cover Oasis’ Half The World Away, most-notable for its inclusion on the credits of classic TV program The Royale Family.
