As we all prepare for the expected ticket-sale onslaught in just over a fortnight, rumours are already flying regarding performers for 2016’s Glastonbury Festival.

Just over a week back, Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis confirmed that headliners for the next two years had already been booked (four returning acts; two new), and now we’re starting to piece together clues that could hold for those likely to take the stage.

One rumour that we’ve been heavily hearing surrounds Janet Jackson. Herself gearing up for the release of her anticipated eleventh studio album Unbreakable later this year, Janet has been sharing global tour dates over the past couple of months for her Janet Unbreakable World Tour.

Most-recently, the star has confirmed shows up until (and including) 25th June 2016, with a clear gap afterwards. Now obviously it’s far too early to say, however with Glastonbury 2016 closing on 26th June, and with a clear spot in her diary, we’re starting to put two-and-two together. We’re probably coming to the wrong conclusion, and questioning whether Janet could be headline-worthy, but surely with such an impressive back catalogue, appearing at the coveted Sunday Afternoon Legends slot wouldn’t be out the question?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments below; would you like to see Janet grace Worthy Farm?

Glastonbury Festival 2016 runs from 22nd-26th June – tickets go on-sale from 1st October; head over to Glastonbury’s official site for more information.
