With less than six weeks to go until the event kicks off, Bestival organisers have announced yet another new area for this year’s ‘Summer Of Love’-themed party.

Added as a one-off for this year only, The Commune will have ‘Summer Of Love’ at its core, delivering an hedonistic environment for attendees where expressions of love and human connections will be encouraged (though we’d presume not ‘that kind’ of love!).

“The Commune is a place where you can just be you” says The Commune’s programmer Bobby Lost, continuing, “whether that’s dancing like no one is watching, hugging, connecting with others and becoming nourished, or sharing deep experiences with strangers, getting assigned missions to spread more love around the festival like to hug 100 strangers, joining a drum circle, or just sitting and being. I’d like the commune to be a home for ‘Hedonism with Heart’, a joyful celebration of life, embodiment and freedom of expression. I wanted to provide a space to come and move outside your comfort zone without getting off your chops”.

Cited to include ‘sober morning raves and late night UV underwear parties’ (?!?), The Commune will also include cuddle workshops, laughter yoga (which we’ve done before, and highly recommend!), drum circles, and more, whilst expect hearts and minds to become further alive at night where parties will be catered from some of the biggest DJs around – lineup includes WeAreOne, Morning Gloryville, Right Here Right Now and Battersea Conscious Club, spinning heartful house and dharma disco.
