Ed Sheeran’s recent triple-run of shows at Wembley Stadium will be documented in a one hour special next month.

Ed Sheeran – Live at Wembley Stadium, which will be initially premiered by US broadcaster NBC, will feature highlights from the three gigs, alongside select behind-the-scenes footage, according to Rolling Stone.

Upon announcing the news, Sheeran said of his Wembley stint “I can’t say that performing at Wembley Stadium was a ‘dream come true,’ because I honestly thought it was out of reach and didn’t think it was possible” continuing “It really doesn’t get any bigger than Wembley in my mind, and it was an honour to join the select few that have headlined there. It’s definitely a personal milestone, and I’m so glad to share this special moment with all of my fans.”

Footage of Elton John’s duets with Ed (which surprised fans on the opening night of the Wembley hat-trick) will also be shown in the documentary. Whilst a UK showing has yet to be confirmed, we wouldn’t be surprised if the short film will find its way online somehow pretty soon after broadcast.
