Glastonbury 2015 opens its doors in less than a week, and with over 2,000 acts set to appear, there’s a fair few folk out there who are still completely lost on who they should turn their attentions to.

Therefore, to help you guys out, we thought we’d throw together our POVs on the ‘who’s and the what’s’ to check out whilst you’re there, so check them all out in the day-by-day breakdown below.

Oh, and for the newbies who may complain about the “lack of guitar bands”, bear in mind the genres of music Stagedoor FM currently supports 😉

Enjoy!

Gregory Porter imageName: Gregory Porter
Venue: West Holts, 17:00
About: Arguably one of the finest modern-day jazz musicians to have hit the scene over the past few years, Gregory Porter’s West Holts appearance will provide fans a bit of pre-Kanye ‘calm before the storm’. His Roundhouse show was top-notch, so get to West Holts if you can.

Jessie WareName: Jessie Ware
Venue: John Peel Stage, 18:15
About: We were ridiculously excited when Jessie Ware announced her sophomore album Tough Love last year, and she didn’t disappoint! Just like Gregory Porter (above), Ware’s performance will be another calming affair (but still impeccably-grandeur).

Expect some pre-Kanye mayhem.

Denai Moore cover photoName: Denai Moore
Venue: The Park Stage, 12:00
About: Following two impressive EPs over the past couple of years, Denai Moore dropped her full-length debut Elsewhere back in April; a raw, emotive collection that should translate well into a live show for The Park’s more laid-back vibe. Make sure you watch out for Blame, one of our favourites from Moore’s latest project.

Jack Garratt imageName: Jack Garratt
Venue: The Park Stage, 13:00 (also Williams Green 16:00)
About: April’s Synesthesiac EP blasted Jack Garratt into the bigger-league thanks to the collection’s lead single Chemical. Since then the producer has been honing his live shows in-time for festival season – Garratt’s fusion of indie-tronic/down-tempo R&B could certainly make for something special.

Hip Hop KaraokeName: Hip Hop Karaoke
Venue: Stonebridge, 14:00
About: We’ve been regular visitors to Glastonbury’s Hip Hop Karaoke for the last few years now; it’s just opposite The Park and definitely one for some afternoon hijinks for you and your mates. Highly recommended; oh, and you can check out HHK’s song list here if you want some early pre-Glasto revision.

Lionel RichieName: Lionel Richie
Venue: Pyramid Stage, 16:00
About: Yay Lionel! Mr Richie was the first artist to be announced for Glastonbury way back in November…. We’re not gonna attempt any shitty ‘Dancing On The Ceiling’ puns; just make sure you head over to the Pyramid Stage to see a legend in action. One you definitely won’t want to miss.

15 for 2015 George The PoetName: George The Poet
Venue: Sonic Stage, 16:30
About: George The Poet’s meteoric rise over the past 18 months has been truly justified; much the wordsmith, George’s finely-skilled lyricism when it comes to social commentary hears few in the way of rivals. Sure it’s a clash with Lionel, but if there’s one artist we’d slip away to see, George comes up trumps in that stake!

Seinabo SeyName: Seinabo Sey
Venue: La Pussy Parlure, 17:15
About: Thanks to some standout tracks over the past couple of years (Younger, Pistols at Dawn etc), Seinabo Sey has firmly intrigued us as potentially Sweden’s next-biggest musical export after Neneh Cherry and Robyn. Again a clash with Lionel, but still…

Lianne La Havas Unstoppable video stillName: Lianne La Havas
Venue: John Peel Stage, 19:05
About: Now firmly in ‘album No.2 mode’, this year will see Lianne La Havas’ third Glastonbury outing. Her brand new collection Blood lands next month preceded by the wonderful Unstoppable. To us, her placement on the final day is a nice near-closure for Glastonbury 2015.

Groove ArmadaName: Groove Armada
Venue: Arcadia, 21:30
About: With a brand new project on the way (the forthcoming double-album, Little Black Book), Groove Armada will be throwing out their hits, and more, in a full-on DJ set at the giant spider. WHAT A WAY TO CLOSE!
