As BBC Radio 1 gear up for next month’s festivities, the broadcaster has unveiled the full line-up of this year’s Radio 1 Big Weekend.

Following in the footsteps of previously-announced Florence & The Machine, Taylor Swift and Years & Years, Big Weekend, which hits Norwich on the weekend of 23rd & 24th May, will see one of the most impressive lists of appearances to-date.

Featuring the likes of Sam Smith, Charli XCX, David Guetta, Muse, Clean Bandit, Imagine Dragons, Snoop Dogg, Jungle and more, Radio 1’s Big Weekend will span three stages, the Main Stage, the In New Music We Trust Stage, and the BBC Introducing Stage. The line-up for the latter will be announced this evening by Huw Stephens as he sits in for Annie Mac from 7pm.

As with previous years, Radio 1’s Big Weekend will be live-streamed across the network’s airwaves, whilst 2015’s event will also see the return of the Radio 1 Academy, where workshop sessions, live music, panels and Q&As will inspire the next generation of those looking to enter the media industry. Appearances at the Radio 1 Academy include Jessie Ware, Ella Eyre, Lower Than Atlantis, Jamal Edwards MBE, Sigma, Rick Edwards, Jim Chapman, Jack & Dean, the Radio 1 DJs and many more industry pros and experts.
