Last year’s Chimes undoubtedly became an anthem for the masses – an instantly-inviting piece of music that further cemented Hudson Mohawke’s fanbase, whilst also offering the track as an introduction to those who may not have been acquainted by the Scottish producer’s impressive discography.

Fast-forward almost nine months, and, fresh from announcing his anticipated new studio album Lantern, Mohawke (aka HudMo) has dropped the record’s lead track. Very First Breath, a shimmering slice of deep electro-soul (thanks also in-part to French musician Irfane’s silky vocals), seems a perfect piece for HudMo to open the doors to the new collection (which, alongside the aforementioned Irfane, is also set to feature appearances from the likes of Jhene Aiko, Miguel, Devaeux and many more).
