Spotify have revealed Beyonce as the most-streamed female artist by women, as the world-over celebrates International Women’s Day.
Announcing the news earlier today, Spotify confirmed that Beyonce’s 2013 surprise self-titled LP has so far garnered over 1 billion streams to date, whilst Rihanna still retains the title as most-streamed female artist by both genders, globally. Spotify have also announced Katy Perry as the female artist most-streamed by men, with Ellie Goulding and Lana Del Rey in second and third places.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, actress Kate Upton has partnered with the music streaming service to curate a playlist of some of her favourite female artists. Stream the set in full below, which features the likes of Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and more:
