Regular Stagedoor FM readers should be well-acquainted with Blonde, the Bristolian duo who time and time-again seem to churn out quality output.

Whilst last year launched the twosome onto the scene with a trio of strong collaborations (Ryan Ashley on Foolish, Higher Ground’s Charlie Taft and finally Melissa Steel for the hugely-successful I Loved You), all eyes now turn to what’s in-store for 2015, and once again, Blonde have delivered.

The duo’s new single, All Cried Out (premiered moments ago by Annie Mac), enlists Alex Newell, who, whilst may be fairly unknown in these shores, has garnered a strong following in the US thanks to his recurring role in hit TV show Glee. Whilst this may seem a tactical move by Blonde to help break entry into the US, Newell’s appearance onto All Cried Out seems completely ‘right’, and perfectly natural, so, tactical or otherwise, we believe this was a smart move.

In its own right, All Cried Out is a big soulful-house banger; we’d liken Newell’s vocals toward that of MNEK and Alex Adams (thanks to the youngster’s ability to reach varying pitches with what seems like ease), whilst the beat itself will not fail to keep you moving.
