Following on from December’s These Are The Days, Zak Abel teams up once again with Joker for the shimmering UKG-inspired Alchemy.

Sounding almost like a sequel to Wookie’s infamous Battle, Alchemy hears co-writing credits with Ed Thomas, which, alongside the aforementioned These Are The Days, takes its place on Abel’s forthcoming Joker Presents: Zak Abel EP (alongside two other tracks, Wise Enough and Lonely).

There’s definite maturity in Abel’s voice on this one; soulful indeed, whilst also giving the sense that no-one else would seem as suited to the job as Zak himself. All in, an incredibly-valliant effort, and further adds not only excitement for Joker Presents: Zak Abel but also Joker’s own upcoming second album, Mainframe.
