Florence and the Machine are set to return this year with an anticipated new album, alongside a host of tour dates.

According to Consequence of Sound, Florence Welch and her band are currently mixing their forthcoming record, the follow-up to 2011’s Ceremonials, whilst six dates at various festivals over the summer have also been unearthed – unfortunately for Glastonbury hopefuls though, Florence and the Machine’s appearance at Belgium’s Rock Werchter means a likely clash with the Worthy Farm event so a Somerset appearance doesn’t seem likely at this stage (although rumours do still point to the band playing Glastonbury, so don’t give up hope just yet).

Florence & co’s new album was unearthed over at the Florence and The Machine Army fansite, where a picture leaked shows the new collection in apparent mixing stage. A release-date has yet to be confirmed, however.
