Lion Babe’s new collaboration with Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) on Jump Hi has been one of the most surprising cuts to emerge over the past couple of months – as exciting as it is enchanting.
Now, legendary UKG producer Todd Edwards has put his mark on a remix of the track, toning down his synonymous 4/4 loops (and vocal manipulations), to something more tech/house-inspired, a clear direction of where it seems Edwards will be heading toward on his new material. It’s more ‘Oliver Heldens meets Todd Edwards’, which is no bad thing, and ultimately will help to drive further awareness of the already-brilliant track.
Jump Hi falls part of Lion Babe’s upcoming self-titled EP set to land next month, which will also include additional tracks Don’t Break My Heart, Jungle Lady and their 2012 breakthrough Treat Me Like Fire.
