2012 was a special year for us over at Stagedoor FM… not only was it home to the excitement of the London Olympics, but also the year two of our favourite albums of the past decade received their release – Plan B’s Ill Manors, and Submotion Orchestra’s Fragments. It’s because of the latter that we’re incredibly-excited to hear Trust/Lust, the fourth cut from Submotion Orchestra’s forthcoming album, Alium.

Coming almost two months since the Erykah Badu-esque release of 2L84U, Trust/Lust is an exquisite slice of synth-electronica – more ‘Musical Hot Water Bottle’ than its predecessor, but further getting us even more queasy for the release of Alium. Ruby Wood’s vocals basically fuck up the game in this one – simply stunning, understated yet completely effective – such a beautiful slice of music.

We could listen to this all day, and we strongly-suggest you guys do too.

Alium lands on 24th November – hit the iTunes link for the preorder:
