Following her announcement of the track last week, New Zealand wonderkid Lorde has unveiled Yellow Flicker Beat, her first piece of all-new material since last year’s breakthrough album Pure Heroine.
Set to appear on the soundtrack for upcoming movie sequel, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt 1, of which last year’s flick The Hunger Games: Catching Fire saw Lorde cover Tears For Fears’ Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Yellow Flicker Beat is ‘pure-Lorde’ – gothic, strange, enchanting, wonderful, and with a KILLER chorus.
