Following their impressive spin of Blonde’s Higher Ground last month, young British house duo SYV have shared their official remix of Laura Mvula’s She.
The track (which can be heard in its original guise on Mvula’s impeccable debut record Sing To The Moon), hears a continuation of its soulfulness in SYV’s new vision, though adding a more upbeat melody, making it absolutely ripe for this ‘new-wave’ of strong house cuts that the UK seems to be heralding in at the moment.
Don’t expect anything too heavy; SYV have scaled back any type of deep-progressionism with this one, but it works well.
