An electrical storm has caused havoc at Somerset’s iconic Glastonbury Festival, halting various performances and seeing festival-goers running under any shelter possible.
The powerful storm, which started just after 5pm today (27th June), led to the BBC stopping their live streams, whilst Rudimental’s slot at the Pyramid Stage was also drawn to an early close.

Whilst Rudimental’s set ceased earlier than planned, the British quartet did manage to throw in some of their biggest hits, including a world-exclusive performance of a new track featuring Ed Sheeran. Sheeran joined the group onstage to perform the unnamed song.

It’s unclear at this point as to when the stages will reopen, though rain is forecast to continue at Glastonbury, in various parts of the days, throughout the whole weekend.
**UPDATE** the storm has now passed, for the meantime. Stages are now starting to reopen.
