The rumour mill has gone into overdrive after Liam Gallagher sent a series of Oasis-related tweets earlier yesterday evening (24th April).

The six tweets which saw Gallagher spell out the band name, sent bookmakers and fans into a spin with the hope of a reunion of the iconic Manchester band.

This is not the first time that rumours have appeared following a hopeful resurrection of the indie group; earlier this year an announcement of ‘news’ from the official Oasis twitter account sent fans excited in hope, however the news transpired into a celebratory release of the group’s debut LP Definitely Maybe for the album’s 20th anniversary this year.

Following the series of tweets (below), bookmaker Ladbrokes immediately paused all possible betting for a reunion, alongside the band performing the legendary Saturday night headline slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
