Following months of rumours and speculation, a large part of the lineup for this year’s Glastonbury Festival has been revealed.

Whilst the previously-announced Arcade Fire will headline the Friday night, Kasabian have now been confirmed to close the festival as the Sunday night headliner. Further new additions to the bill also include London Grammar, MNEK, Kelis, Paolo Nutini, CHVRCHES, James Blake, Chance The Rapper and Ed Sheeran.

Speaking to BBC Radio 6Music this morning (which you can hear below), organiser Emily Eavis confirmed that the final headliner will be announced “soon“, with the delay based on contractual reasons. “The full line-up, the thousands and thousands of acts, will be with you in May…. this is just a few, hand-picked [acts] to give you a taster” she also added.

Glastonbury 2014 runs from 25th-29th June at Somerset’s Worthy Farm; lucky ticketholders have until Monday 7th April to pay for the full balance of their ticket in order to confirm their place, with the resale taking place on 27th April.
