Earlier today, Twitter launched a new service allowing anyone to check the first tweet of any account. The ‘Discover’ service was unveiled in celebration of the micro-blogging service’s eighth birthday, a milestone which has seen it turn from a small hobby amongst few, to one of the biggest, and most important sources for today’s society.
We decided to use the new feature to have a quick spy on the first tweets of some of the biggest names in music out there, and surprisingly, they were all pretty boring (yet fandom being what it is, still let to a bizarre amount of favourites and retweets)!
