Unless you avoid social media like the plague, you’d have been hard-felt to notice that yesterday (4th February), Prince, alongside his new 3RDEYEGIRL group, announced their arrival in London in spectacular style.

After flying in straight from their all night launch party for debut single PRETZELBODYLOGIC in NYC on Sunday, Prince and his cohorts began their stint in London with an intimate press conference in Lianne La Havas’ East London apartment, following by an acoustic preview of two tracks from their forthcoming album, PLECTRUMELECTRUM.

Following the press conference the band moved to Camden’s historic Electric Ballroom, playing a 60 minute spontaneous jam session to a few hundred lucky fans who were tipped off about the session just an hour beforehand via Twitter.

It seemed that this was the first in Prince’s recently-announced ‘Hit and Run’ intimate and surprise shows, with more to be announced as the month continues. Keep locked to Stagedoor FM as we report on today’s forthcoming announcement of new dates, and hit the play button below to watch a clip from last night’s mini show, with a nice surprise at the end confirming Prince’s appearance at the same venue again this evening:

3RDEYEGIRL also took to BBC Radio 6Music earlier this morning, chatting about working with Prince, and their forthcoming album PLECTRUMELECTRUM:
